It is hard to believe that we are in to October!
We want to thank all of your for your support and commitment to reinforcing the safety protocols with your children as we get used to the “new normal” of school. Students are getting into their routines and are enjoying the chance to reconnect with their teachers and peers.
This month starts off with our Parent-Teacher Interviews, which we will be doing by Zoom, on Wednesday October 7th and Thursday October 8th. You are able to log into our www.centralmiddleschool.schoolappointments.com to book yourself in for a chance to meet with your child’s Advisory teacher to discuss the best way to work together to support your child this year. An email was sent to families on the details. If you are having troubles booking, please call the school at (250) 386-5451 and we will assist you.
We will also have a couple of important dates to note. We encourage you to monitor the Central Weekly which is sent on Fridays as well as the upcoming events section of this site for dates and events to add to your family calendar. We appreciate that families have many other commitments and will do our best to ensure that the Upcoming Events section is kept up to date. With events like Thanksgiving, Photo retakes, a Pro D day, and Halloween it promises to be a busy month!
Lastly we would like to urge all families to get involved with our CMSPAC. Many of you may be wondering how to stay connected with your child’s school events and activities and the PAC is a great avenue to do this. We know that middle school students like their independence, so the PAC is a way to stay connected but still give students the space they need to grow and thrive. The next PAC meeting will be Tuesday October 13 and we hope that you will be able to join us. A Zoom link will be sent out the week prior to the meeting.
Thanks for your support and commitment to helping us keep your children safe and we are thrilled to see them back in the halls here at CMS.
