That’s right, some cello players love tofu. What you couldn’t see in the video was that the cello bow was specially modified for getting blocks of tofu off the plate, so that the person playing the cello can have a healthy snack while playing. Something to think about, strings players. Thanks for the request, Mr. Barwin!

It’s Wednesday, and that means it is POPSICLE DAY! That’s right – you can get yourself a delicious frozen treat after the lunch bell in the foyer. Only one dollar – that’s a “sweet” deal.
Grade 6 Girls volleyball: Both teams played yesterday here at Central and did very well. Virtually all games were split with GNS, and the girls improved their skills each game. There is a short practice after school TODAY to go over yesterday’s jamboree. 3 – 3:45pm
This is a reminder to staff and students that Musical Desserts is not this evening, as is printed in your agendas, but next week. It was moved to accommodate another program.
Music students, you can audition to do solos and combos for Musical Desserts today, Thursday and Friday at nutrition break or lunch. If you need to come after school or another time, please make arrangements with us. We are looking forward to hearing the things you’re working on!
Yearbook Do not miss out!
Yearbooks are on sale for $25 a book, but only until the end of January! That is Friday!!! Once we send in the order to the publisher there will be NO FURTHER OPPORTUNITY TO BUY THIS UNIQUE MEMORY OF THE YEAR! If you missed out buying your yearbook at the beginning of the year please order online through the school website or fill out the order form that your teacher has or you can pick up in the office. If you are not sure whether or not you ordered a book at the beginning of the year your teacher has a list of all orders. The final deadline for all purchases is January 31st 2019.
Just another reminder about the ski trip, The sign up sheets are in the foyer arranged by division. If you are interested please sign up under your division. The sign up sheets will be there all week. On Friday at lunch we will have an information meeting about the ski trip where we will hand out the official sign up packages to be brought home and filled out with your parents. If you have any questions, please ask Mme Holsworth or Mr. Golder.
