CULTURE AND EVENTS:
Congratulations to everyone who participated in yesterday’s Vow of Silence. All that silence was heard loudly and clearly, drawing attention to people around the world and in our community who have no voice to speak up for their rights. Students also raised over $1000 for Free the Children, an organization that works for human rights around the world. Way to go Central!
Our Holiday Food and Clothing Drive is underway, and cans, boxes, socks, and toques are coming in. Make sure your class has set a goal, check out the donation board in the foyer, and keep those cans and socks coming in!
If any class did not have their box picked up today, please send a runner to the foyer with the box. Thanks.
Basketball, we are waiting for the Boys Gr 6/7 results.
Our Girls were also in action at Royal Oak yesterday. “The 6/7 girls competitive team played a tough semifinal yesterday, and now will be playing in the city’s bronze match at SMU Thursday. Good luck girls!”
